Kaya possesses a charming countenance that can thaw even the most frigid of souls. She was born with a congenital facial abnormality that has resulted in her having a permanently “squishy” face, which could be misinterpreted as appearing gloomy.
When Kaya was discovered at only four weeks old, she was in a terrible state – malnourished, dehydrated, and completely covered in fleas and ticks. It was clear that she needed some tender loving care. Odelkis Barrera, the founder of TO Rescue in Ontario, knew that he had to help Kaya as soon as he saw her photo.
Thanks to the efforts of her rescuers, Kaya made an incredible recovery. She quickly gained weight and her personality began to shine through. Today, Kaya is a unique kitty who has overcome incredible odds to become a happy, healthy, and beloved pet.
According to a Facebook post by TO Rescue, this adorable cat is very lively and chatty. She is also incredibly intelligent and loves being around people and being held. Not only is she cute, but she has a very sweet personality that everyone falls in love with. She gets along well with her foster families, other cats, and dogs. Barrera, who met the cat, said that all she wants to do is be petted, loved, and cuddled. Her personality is simply amazing!
“She absolutely loves it – if you’re not giving her attention, she’ll rub against you to get it.” Kaya’s favorite plaything isn’t what you’d expect; it’s a simple cardboard box, nothing fancy. “Kaya spends hours inside her beloved box, amusing herself and staying entertained. She’s a darling little girl who brings joy to our lives.”
Kaya is approaching six months old and is in search of a permanent home. Unfortunately, she has yet to receive any adoption applications and often gets overlooked due to her appearance and expected veterinarian expenses.
However, there is still hope for this cute little creature as we remain optimistic that she will eventually find her forever home. Despite her poor eyesight, she has adapted well and can easily move around without any problems. Additionally, she still has the ability to detect nearby dogs, cats, and humans.
Barrera expressed their desire for a pleasant atmosphere and a home that can provide the necessary attention to their furry companion. They believe that their pet would thrive in the company of other animals as she enjoys observing and playing with cats and dogs. Additionally, they are looking for someone who is committed to providing a forever home for their pet.
